Job Summary The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work areas to support safe and efficient meal service. This role plays a vital part in ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while supporting the dietary team in providing a positive dining experience for residents.
Schedule:
Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dish room, and dining areas in accordance with sanitation and safety standards
Assist dietary staff with basic kitchen tasks as needed, including trash removal and restocking supplies
Follow all facility policies, dietary procedures, and state and federal health regulations
Operate dishwashing equipment safely and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
Previous dishwasher or food service experience preferred; healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus
Skills:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; dependable and detail-oriented
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, bend, and work in a fast-paced environment
