Coilcraft, Inc., founded in 1945, is a privately held, globally recognized manufacturer of magnetic components. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in a hybrid capacity supporting both Purchasing and Pricing functions. This role offers exposure to supplier management, cost analysis, materials procurement, and strategic pricing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Identify, evaluate, and develop a materials supply base that meets cost, quality, delivery, availability, and reliability objectives.
Support supplier qualification, data collection, analysis, reporting, and corrective/preventative action activities.
Execute purchase orders via the ERP system.
Prepare reports as needed.
Build and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers, including on-site visits to evaluate quality and processing capabilities.
Initiate and administer supply agreements and procurement activities for direct materials supporting manufacturing operations.
Investigate supplier-related issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to maintain or improve material specifications, reduce variation, and support cost-reduction initiatives.
Integrate early supplier involvement into new product development or product modifications.
Administer online purchasing and MRP systems.
Drive a variety of costing and pricing activities as a key contributor to the pricing team.
Respond to internal requests for pricing information accurately and efficiently.
Gather cost inputs from manufacturing, operations, and internal systems to perform detailed cost and margin analysis.
Execute cost and gross profit calculations to support strategic pricing decisions.
Develop competitive price comparisons and analytical reports to support market positioning.
Maintain customer-specific pricing by product type to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Analytics, Finance, or related field.
2–5 years of purchasing or analytical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; recent graduates with strong analytical skills will also be considered.
Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (formulas, data organization, spreadsheet building).
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of ERP and MRP systems, inventory control, and ISO9001/IATF16949 standards is a plus.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
