THE ROLE

Breakaway Music Festival is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to serve as the Manager, Brand Partnerships and Activation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces a team-based work ethic, and has a passion for live events and sponsorship. Based in Nashville, TN, and reporting to the Vice President of Brand Partnerships and Activation, this role will be instrumental in supporting all aspects of brand partner activations, from partner relations to on-site execution. The Manager will assist in executing Breakaway’s sponsorship strategy while acting as a key liaison between the Brand Partnerships team and brand partners, fostering and maintaining strong relationships with both current and prospective partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage day-to-day brand partner activation needs, ensuring seamless execution across planning, production, and on-site delivery

Attend and participate in internal and external meetings, including recurring brand and department calls

Coordinate brand placements on site maps to ensure high traffic, visibility, and performance against KPIs

Coordinate logistics for activation, load-in, and load-out across multiple environments

Identify efficiencies across multiple activations by flagging bottlenecks and helping develop improved systems and processes.

Manage the credential request process for all working teams

Organize and advance activation needs, including power, heavy equipment, WiFi, staffing, trucking, security, and other requirements as needed

Collaborate with the Sales team to ideate new business opportunities related to on-site activations and experiential concepts

Update and maintain detailed activation trackers and internal documentation for Brand Partnerships

Create, submit, and track bill-back invoice requests in accordance with contracted payment terms and activation requirements

Support the Vice President and Senior Manager, Brand Partnerships and Activation throughout the full sponsorship advancement process, including certificates of insurance, drawings, deliverable tracking, asset procurement, heavy equipment orders, and advance forms

Work closely with the Vice President and Senior Manager to ensure alignment and consistency when communicating with brand partners and internal teams

Travel to festivals to manage on-site execution of brand activations and oversee brand partner relations

Foster and nurture relationships with existing and prospective brand partners through sponsor relations initiatives, including gifting programs and specialized events

Create brand fulfillment reports, including deliverable tracking, analytics, and content recaps to summarize partnership performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ years of experience in brand partnership activations, experiential marketing, music festivals, and/or live events a must

Highly motivated team player with strong communication skills and a desire to contribute to Breakaway’s collaborative culture

Prior experience in Sponsorship or Brand Partnerships within the live events industry a must

Ability to professionally create experiential decks, budgets, fulfillment reports, and internal documentation

Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to represent Breakaway with passion and enthusiasm to prospective and existing partners

Comfortable both receiving and providing feedback to peers and leadership

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with non-traditional work hours, including weekends and potential holidays

Willingness to travel to approximately 10+ festivals per year, totaling roughly 50+ days on the road

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods of time

Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and project management tools
