Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Admissions Financial Advocate to join our team!
Job Summary Assist patients with billing questions, payments, and account arrangements. Acts as a resource for all departments and business office as the on campus financial advocate for billing and financial questions.

Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains resources, communication, and a positive working relationship with the Business Office team.
Successfully navigate the billing systems, investigate problems and find resolution, apply payments and discounts appropriately.
Will take care of patients financial inquires, such as payment arrangements, setting up auto pay, questions on bills, etc. for both MVH and IFCH.
Provides and assists patients with financial applications, applying for hospital assistance, and providing Medicaid applications.
Responsible for working and maintaining assigned work lists
Assists with speaking to patients, and receiving signatures on billing forms such as ABN, HINN, Good Faith Estimates, IMM’s etc.
Must develop rapport and trust with the patients and families.
Acts like an owner, pulls own weight, works to achieve individual, department and hospital goals. Fully accountable, owns problems until solved, appropriately holds others accountable.
Attends all other meetings as required.
Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications Education/Certification:
AA or equivalent from two year college or technical school would be helpful.
Experience:
Two years of medical staff office work can be substituted for education requirement, willing to train the right individual with a go get-em attitude, excellent customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Equipment/Technology:
Strong computer skills is needed.
Language/Communication:
Strong communication skills is a must.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concept: of basic algebra and geometry.
Mental Capabilities:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Interpersonal:
Ability to work well with others, truly understand and communicate with the general public and help them with their questions, whatever is needed
