**Job Description:****Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:*** Executes routine welding tasks on HVAC units.* Ability to set up and maintain welding machine (tip, liner, changes, etc.) and weld vertical, horizontal, and overhead.* Inspect welds for cracks, burn through and weld spatter.* Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as required.* Grind and clean areas where required.* Stay current in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and basic mechanical adjustments on all equipment as needed.* Follow hazardous waste disposal program and fire prevention procedures.**Education and Experience Requirements:**Highschool diploma or GED preferred.1-3 years’ experience as a welder. Prior work experience with Lean Manufacturing processes preferred.**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*** High school diploma or GED preferred.* Welding Certifications preferred but not required* Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.* Ability to read and understand blueprints, as well as weld symbols.* Process knowledge and experience to set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines.* Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions.* Ability to work in a team environment.* Must be able to pass the required welding certification test.**Work Environment and Physical Requirements:*** Frequent exposure to manufacturing facilities with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.* Ability to stand comfortably for prolonged periods of time, as much as 95% of the workday.* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.**Location:**Memphis, TN**Title:**Welder I #J-18808-Ljbffr
