Machine Operator Nights $1,000 Sign on Bonus! (4pm to 4am)
Join Ocean Spray Cranberries as a Machine Operator on a 12‑hour rotating shift from 4pm‑4am at the Tomah Processing Plant. Earn a starting pay rate up to $23.83/hr plus a $1.25 shift differential, with three 30‑minute paid breaks per shift. This year‑round position is indoors, inclusive of rotating weekends off.
Position Overview Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot processing and packaging equipment. Complete lab checks, recordkeeping in Maximo and SAP, and support production needs as directed. Ensure quality of raw materials and finished products while following food safety and plant procedures.
Responsibilities
Maintain a constant flow of juice in the correct direction.
Operate machinery safely, manage related paperwork, and conduct testing.
Manage inventory and enter yield data into the database.
Load and unload tankers, use chemicals correctly, and complete necessary testing and paperwork.
Perform equipment start‑up and shutdown per CIP/COP and Lock‑Out, Tag‑Out, Try‑Out protocols.
Keep area and equipment clean and orderly.
Monitor operational parameters and record results hourly.
Conduct general maintenance on machinery as needed.
Work within quality standards to ensure food safety.
Comply with safety policies and procedures.
Perform duties assigned by management and support other teams.
Qualifications
Willing to obtain Forklift Certification.
Ability to lift up to 48 lbs on occasion.
Ability to stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, stretch, squatting, and crawl in a production line during an 8‑ or 12‑hour shift.
Ability to use fall protection and other PPE (safety glasses, steel‑toed shoes, hearing protection, hairnets, rubber shoes, aprons, smocks, gloves, face shields).
Team player with strong communication skills.
Advanced computer skills and ability to navigate control screens.
Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and sanitation SOPs.
Adherence to Lock‑Out, Tag‑Out, Try‑Out policies.
Consistent use of PPE and good personal hygiene.
Effective communication, reading, writing, and math skills.
Ability to accomplish changeovers.
