Location and Shift Thomasville, GA. Night Shift – Monday to Thursday, 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
Essential Functions
Use the time keeping system.
Operate cutting torch and carbon arc gouge.
Use measuring devices such as tape measures and levels.
Read and understand blueprints and process sheets.
Demonstrate basic welding skills and show willingness to learn.
Pass basic ASME certification tests within the given time frame.
Adhere to all plant safety rules and regulations.
Other Duties
Perform any other duties directed by Cell Leader or Foreman.
Basic Requirements Education: High school diploma or GED; preferred technical training at an accredited school.
Experience: Six (6) months of related welding experience or technical training at an accredited school.
Decision‑Making: Trainee position with very limited decision‑making; all questions directed to trainer or supervisors.
Physical Skill & Effort
Lift up to 60 lbs. chest high regularly.
Work up to 12 hours standing and walking on hard cement surface; regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat, and climb ladders up to 8 ft.
Work up to 15 ft from the ground; climb stairs; operate in ambient temperature ranges.
Access all plant areas; exposed to noise, dust, welding fumes, machine lubricants.
Use personal protective equipment: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel‑toed shoes, fall protection.
