Summary Job Summary Position Highlights The Electrician II is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment and circuits, principally but not limited to, power distribution, motor control centers, and backup emergency switch gear. Must also perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include electrical and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes. Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in the hospital or clinic environment.
Responsibilities
Maintains accurate, clear and concise documentation for equipment problems and failures, including but not limited to, work order completion in the work order program.
Maintains electrical-related equipment and procedure documentation manuals and supplies this information to the supervisor.
Responds to emergency situations, including disaster response, powerother utilities' loss, floods, etc. to limit effect on facilities.
Demonstrates technical knowledge depth for electrical and associated systems according to standards established by management team. Can identify: types of electrical components, functionality and usage, types of electrical specific tools and how to use them, electrical specific materials and their application, basic math skills.
Assists with, oversees and/or inspects repairs or modifications performed by contractors.
Credentials and Qualifications
Five (5) Years Electrician experience is required.
One (1) Year Electrician experience in a Healthcare facility/environment is required.
High School Diploma/GED
Valid FL Driver's License upon hire.
Ability to work various work shifts and/or weekends as needed.
Ability to travel between other Moffitt Cancer Center facilities.
Evidence of a good driving record and maintaining a good record per Moffitt policy.
Requires current knowledge of various federal, state, local and CMS codes and regulations.
Preferred Experience
An Electrician Journeymen license is preferred.
Three (3) Years Healthcare Maintenance is preferred.
One (1) Year High-rise Electrical system experience is preferred.
One (1) Year Mechanical Systems experience is preferred.
