Lead Sterile Processing Technician - Sterile Processing Main- M-Fr 1200-2030

Responsibilities
Perform and participate in the decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment. Prepares and assembles surgical trays and equipment following established tray listings for issue storage or further processing (such as sterilization). Monitors and interprets all parameters for all types of sterilizers to ensure proper function (ETO Steam, Steris, and Sterrad). Cleans and decontaminates reusable equipment instruments and supplies manually and mechanically (Hand Washing, Washer/Sterilizer Ultrasonic Cleaner Scope Washer Cart, Washer). Participates in the coordination of all aspects of department's services. Serves as the resource for information for employees and customers. Models team behaviors to frontline employees. Manages departmental bar code system (SPMORMIS). Serves as preceptor in all areas of CSS (decontam, distribution, assembly and sterilizers). Must maintain a minimum of two advanced or specialty operations. In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Experience: 2 years of relevant experience preferred. Licensure: Certification as CRCST (Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician) through HSPA OR CSPDT (Central Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) through CBSPD AND
(1) additional following certification: CIS (Certified Instrument Specialist), CER (Certified Endoscope Reprocess), or CHL (Certified Healthcare Leader) within 6 months of hire into this role PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 25-50lbs. Working in environment with fumes, chemicals, vibrations, heat, noise, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The starting base rate for this role is $19.88 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. Benefits
