This role will be based out of our Troy, Michigan offices weekly. We are seeking full time candidates that are interested in growth opportunities and providing excellent customer service. We offer benefits, paid holiday time, and competitive wages. This is a full-time role 40 hour per week role, Monday through Friday. Qualified candidates should apply by providing their application online that meet the following requirements and duties.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Manages large volumes of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner.* Provides assistance to patient and others
contacting the clinic by telephone; may provide direct assistance or take messages and direct calls to the appropriate party.* Completes scheduling for patients for multiple locations and providers.* Completes initial registration information of new patients following established policies and procedures.* Updates any changes of patient’s information in computer database and scans updated paperwork into Electronic Health Record (EHR)* Follow communication “scripts” when handling different topics.* Identify patients’ and other customers’ needs, clarify information, researching every issue and provide solutions and/or alternatives.* Navigate through patients’ chart in the EHR to locate appropriate information.* Informs patients of share of cost and co-pays for all types of payers.* Verifies coverage under insurance, Medicare, Managed Care, and other federal/state programs.* Processes patient payments over the phone as applicable* Documents notes in computer regarding collections, payment arrangements, failed appointment notice, or additional conversations.* Manually reminds patients of appointments when the automatic call reminder system is unable to do so.* Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.
**Education and Experience Desired:*** Required high school diploma or GED.* Prior experience in the healthcare industry highly preferred* Prior experience in a volume call center or customer service role within the healthcare industry preferred.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:*** Strong track record of taking on new assignments and quickly mastering new ways of accomplishing goals.* An openness and curiosity about Atlas Medical Group, and willingness to adapt to our innovative approach to improving health outcomes.* Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills* Ability to adhere to and follow HIPAA guidelines and handling information with confidentiality and discreetness.* Excellent professional communication skills to effectively communicate with employees, patients and others with courtesy and accuracy.* Exceptionally detail-oriented with a high degree of objectivity and analytical skills to ensure accuracy of messages, patient interaction, and accurate dispatch of calls* Ability to manage multiple projects and processes and work effectively with other team members.* Proficiency in with telephonic, computer and other communication devices
