About The Role Sales Qualification Associate

Job Summary This is an unlicensed position. Candidates with insurance licenses will not be considered. SelectQuote is looking to hire individuals for our Sales Qualification Associate ("SQA") role within our SelectQuote Qualifications Team, where associates are responsible for handling all of SelectQuote's insurance product inquiries. The SQA team will work with consumers on understanding their needs and triaging them to a licensed agent. We have a fun, comfortable, and fast‑paced working environment where our employees are rewarded for their achievements. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to expand into sales after proven success in this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Paid training; we will give you all the tools you need for success

Responsible for creating a positive first impression of SelectQuote by having a conversational, energetic tone of voice

Answering primarily inbound calls (approximately 200 a day) from sales prospects and third‑party partners

Execute transfer of potential customers to a licensed insurance agent

Educate consumers on SelectQuote's value proposition of "We shop, you save" through our 20+ A‑Rated carrier comparison shopping technology, and further sell them on the importance of talking to our sales agents

Intense focus on script adherence, client screening, and handling and overcoming objections and stalls to get them the help they need in their shopping experience

Willingness to receive improvement coaching and implement those suggested actions

Meet and exceed specified monthly goals for transfer rates and other key performance indicators

Skills / Abilities

This is not a customer service role

Excellent oral communication with strong interpersonal skills and conversational phone skills

Excellent time management skills

Ability to learn and adapt to changes quickly

Competitive personality & an internal motivation – You need to have the drive to overcome customer objections and compete with yourself and other agents to succeed and hit new goals

Ability to follow instructions and have proficiency with technology, especially computers, software applications and phone systems

Demonstrated professionalism in conduct and behaviors

Ability to work in a private, dedicated workspace free from distractions

Hardwired high‑speed internet connection with a minimum download speed of 20 mbps and upload speed of 20 mbps

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent is required

Sales experience is preferred: We are looking for candidates with a sales mindset to join our team. Call center, sales with metrics, or a performance‑based client‑facing job in the last 2 years is preferred

Experience working in a professional office setting
