Overview
The Sinai Comprehensive Rehab team seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the Acute Care team.
Certified OTA's are an integral part of the comprehensive rehabilitation team at Sinai Hospital, providing essential treatment vital for patient recovery and quality of life. Job Summary Under the supervision of and in collaboration with a licensed occupational therapist, provides patient care consistent with the needs of the individual patient and provides skilled delivery of services in accordance with regulatory standards and practice. Provides safe, effective, high-quality, evidence-based care to assigned group of patients according to the established treatment plan. Implements education based on established treatment plan and monitors the patient/family’s response to education and discharge plan. Works with patients individually and in groups to provide treatment. Motivates patients to participate in treatment. Provides efficient care consistent with unit/department standards. Attends multi-disciplinary rounds and family meetings as appropriate presenting pertinent patient and family information. Collaborates with the primary occupational therapist and other staff members to develop and/or modify the patient's treatment plan as appropriate in order to ensure optimal, cost-effective, high-quality patient care.
Requirements
Licensure and Certification:
Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain license; Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant; American Heart Association BLS CPR
