Position Summary Operate traveling or stationary overhead crane to lift, move, and position loads such as machinery, equipment, products, and solid or bulk materials.
Primary Responsibilities
Observe load hookup and determine safety of load.
Manipulate or depress crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism.
Inspect crane for defective parts and notify supervisor of defects or malfunctions.
May attach load to hook or another crane accessory before operating the crane.
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of industrial construction/maintenance industry experience.
Physical requirements include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions.
