Job Duties & Responsibilities
Willing to travel 50%–75%
Assist with tank qualification on railcars
Work safely around heavy equipment, railcars, and tracks
Perform and coordinate railcar repairs and maintenance
Operate forklift/telehandler as needed
Prepare railcars for visual inspections (grinding, torching, buffing)
Interpret work orders and blueprints for repairs
Use mechanical skills for welding, cutting, and gouging
Report needed materials or equipment
Follow safety rules and maintain clean work areas
Ensure compliance with FRA, AAR, ARS, and customer standards
Complete other assigned duties as required
Job Qualifications
Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
May require a valid Driver’s License and/or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
