Job Description Perform equipment operations, preventive maintenance, manual labor tasks, and emergency roadway operations related to highway maintenance and construction.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain light, medium, and heavy‑duy highway equipment and vehicles.
Execute emergency operations such as snow, ice, or accident removal, including traffic control.
Conduct preventive maintenance, repairs, and pre‑trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
Install, maintain, and remove traffic control devices in work zones, detours, and lane closures in accordance with the MUTCD.
Apply workplace safety practices, identify hazards, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Assist in inventory tracking and documentation of equipment and supplies.
Work collaboratively with crew members to complete projects and meet objectives.

Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
Adherence to oral and written instructions and accurate documentation.
Capability to operate and maintain hand and power tools.
Knowledge of highway maintenance equipment, materials, and methods.
Skilled operation and maintenance of light, medium, and heavy‑duy equipment.
Experience in emergency operations, including snow removal and accident clean‑up.
Strong teamwork and project completion skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Valid CDL and DOT medical card within 11 months of employment.
Experience performing heavy manual labor.
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Operational knowledge of highway maintenance equipment and procedures.
Safety shoes required.
Additional Considerations
Training or experience in Maintenance, Vehicle Operations, or related field.
Experience performing preventive maintenance and minor equipment repairs.
Valid Commercial Drivers License with endorsements.
Physical Requirements Physical demands include manual labor, operating heavy machinery, and working in varied weather conditions.
Salary & Employment Full‑time position; Salary range $48,123.00–$56,544.00 (adjustable based on experience and qualifications).
