Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full‑Time PreOp PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care. As a PreOp PACU RN, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well‑being of our patients before and after surgery.

Job Responsibilities

Primary focus on PACU

Assess, instruct and prepare patients prior to surgery

Administer medications and IV therapy as needed.

Monitor and manage patients' vital signs and overall condition in the Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Provide post‑operative care and support, including pain management and patient education.

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high‑quality patient care.

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

Required Skills

Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in VA

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PreOp and/or postoperative setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.

Must have current BLS certification, ACLS certification is ideal.

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Commitment to patient‑centered care and continuous improvement.
