Job Summary RN - MEDSURG
Part‑time, Contract
In‑Office | Roswell, NM, United States
Location: Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, Roswell
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (guaranteed 36 hours per week)
Salary: $2,300 – $2,400 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a MedSurg setting, ensuring safety and comfort.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor and document patient progress and vital signs regularly.
Assist in achieving departmental goals and performance targets.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and families on health management and post‑discharge care.
Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care and departmental updates.
Experience / Qualifications
Current RN license; MedSurg experience preferred.
Strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
Ability to monitor vital signs and document progress accurately.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
Experience collaborating with healthcare teams for patient care plans.
Ability to educate patients and families on health management.
Experience in quality improvement initiatives within a healthcare setting.
Strong organizational skills for accurate documentation.
Capacity to provide emotional support to patients and families.
Willingness to participate in team meetings and share insights.
