Job Title: Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
Schedule: PRN, 6:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
Department: Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Kernersville Medical Center
Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or GED, required.
Graduate from one of the following accredited education programs required: Registered Nurse (RN) OR Registered Radiology Technology (RTR) OR Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) OR Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS) OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) OR Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (EMT‑P) OR Cardiovascular Tech (CVT) OR Vascular Intervention (VI).
Experience:
RN with one (1) year of Critical Care, Emergency Services, Cath/EP Lab, or Special Procedures experience. OR acute care hospital EMT‑P with two (2) years of experience; required.
RTR, RRT, RCIS, RCES, CVT or VI with one (1) year of experience; preferred.
Licensure:
Registered Nurse (RN) – North Carolina Board of Nursing license; Registered Radiology Technologist (RTR) – ARRT Radiology; Emergency Medical Technician‑Paramedic (EMT‑P) credentialing/accreditation and/or Paramedic associate degree; Technologist Registry or Respiratory Therapist—licensed by the NC Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB) and credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as RRT; or Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, Cardiovascular Tech, and Vascular Intervention graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program. If the Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist is not a RN or RTR with CI/VI certification, they must obtain their Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) within 24 months of hire for continued employment; required.
Additional skills required:
Ability to successfully complete generic and department‑specific skill validation and competency testing. Pass yearly Cardiac Dysrhythmias Test.
