The Fountain Group is currently seeking an RF Characterization and Test Technician for a prominent client. Location: Glendale, AZ.
Job Description:
Pay:
$26.67-$28.57/hour
Shift:
100% Onsite, 1st Shift
Duration:
12-months to start – potential to extend or convert based on performance and budget.
Responsibilities
Execute RF coaxial connector qualification testing per customer & MIL specifications
Interface with Design Engineering, Product Line Specialist and Applications Engineering to understand specific electrical, mechanical, and/or environmental requirements.
Develop test plans in compliance with customer requirements
Perform electrical, mechanical and environmental qualification tests to validate production
Collect, compile and maintain data in an organized and retrievable manner
Produce formal test qualification test reports suitable for presentation to customers
R&D prototype test and product characterization
Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams in the development of new products by preparing test plans, methods and procedures, preparing samples, conducting tests and compiling data
Collaborate with Design to define Critical-to-Quality attributes and define quality plans
Conduct electrical, mechanical and environmental tests to verify the integrity of new designs
Collect, compile and maintain data in an organized and retrievable manner
Complete work in accordance with Technology team objectives and the prioritized project portfolio; coordinate competitive analysis activities and document relevant findings
Support Quality and Technology functions with root cause analysis of customer facing quality issues
Support corrective action teams to address customer field & other MOB issues
Troubleshoot new and existing products to assist in the resolution of manufacturing and application issues
Conduct electrical, mechanical and environmental tests to verify customer findings and support QIT group responses to customers
Collect, compile and maintain data in an organized and retrievable manner
Collaborate with other functions to address Stage 4 product or process control issues creating a line-of-sight to achieve Product Quality Architecture targets
Project involvement: Collaborate with and support cross-functional teams in regards to out-sourcing and transfer activities; provide support for the development of industry standards (e.g. SCTE, IEC, DSCC, IEEE)
Qualifications
Associates degree (or equivalent military training) required.
2+ years of RF testing experience required.
Must have understanding of RF coaxial transmission and passive component test methods.
Experience with electrical characterization equipment (signal generator, amplifiers, oscilloscopes, etc.) required.
Must be knowledgeable of electrical characterization techniques (calibration, de-embedding, time-domain analysis, etc.).
