SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Contract: Full-Time, Supply or Long-Term
Salary: £88 – £104 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join schools in Lincoln, supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the right experience and compassion to make a real difference in students’ lives.
About the Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who may display challenging behaviours or have experienced barriers to learning. Your role will be to provide tailored academic, social, and emotional support, helping students to feel safe, valued, and motivated in their education. Responsibilities
Support students with SEMH needs in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis Promote positive behaviour and use de-escalation techniques where needed Assist with both academic progress and personal development Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to meet individual needs What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in an SEMH school, mental health setting, or within HMPs Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills A calm, resilient, and patient approach to working with young people Qualifications relating to mental health are highly desirable What GSL Education Offer
