Responsibilities for the Hotel Housekeeping Room Inspector or Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor include: Quality Control & Inspections
Conducting detailed inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, proper setup, and adherence to hotel standards.
Checking for missing or damaged items, including linens, furniture, and amenities.
Verifying that housekeeping staff follow proper cleaning procedures and meet sanitation guidelines.
Supervising Housekeeping Staff
Assisting in training and coaching housekeeping staff to maintain quality standards.
Providing constructive feedback to room attendants and addressing any deficiencies.
Ensuring that housekeepers complete their tasks efficiently and on time.
Guest Satisfaction & Service
Responding to guest requests and complaints related to room cleanliness or housekeeping services.
Ensuring that VIP and special request rooms are properly prepared.
Assisting with room inspections before guest check‑ins to uphold a high level of service.
Inventory & Supplies Management
Monitoring the use of linens, cleaning products, and guest amenities to prevent shortages.
Coordinating with housekeeping supervisors to ensure proper stocking and distribution of supplies.
Compliance & Safety
Ensuring adherence to hotel policies, health, and safety regulations.
Reporting maintenance issues such as plumbing, electrical, or HVAC problems to the engineering department.
Making sure all housekeeping equipment is properly maintained and stored.
Administrative Duties
Completing inspection reports and logging any housekeeping issues.
