Responsibilities Pediatrix Medical Group seeks a per diem

Certified Nurse Midwife

or an experienced

Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

to join its OB‑GYN practice at St. Joseph's Women’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida.

Join a highly experienced team of 9 physicians, with a double‑physician team in‑house 24 hours a day.

Minimum of 3 years experience in women’s health and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Cover OB triage, emergency room, obstetric and gynecologic consults, patient rounds, and fetal monitoring.

Surgical assist experience and qualifications are a plus but not required.

Deliveries performed by the physician team.

12‑hour shift model starting 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

Over 6,000 deliveries annually at the hospital, with 20% delivered by the hospitalist team.

Supported by a Level‑IV NICU team with 24‑hour board‑certified neonatology coverage.

Additional support by a comprehensive and experienced anesthesia team available 24 hours a day.

St. Joseph's Women’s Hospital is widely regarded as “the place in Tampa to have a baby” because of its comfortable labor and delivery suites, extensive childbirth education programs, Level‑IV NICU, and maternal/fetal program that offers the security expectant mothers need.

Qualifications

Current APRN national specialty certification.

Minimum of a master’s degree.

Certified CNM or WHNP with recent experience required.

Florida license required.
