Title: Seasonal Scoreboard and Broadcast Assistant

Job Type: Full-Time, Seasonal; 40 hours per week; overtime when required; Non-Exempt

Salary Rate: $25.00 per hour

Duration: March 2-November 21, 2026

The Seasonal Scoreboard and Broadcast Assistant reports to the Communications Manager and works closely with year-round Communications staff, taking occasional direction from them, and will work with Icahn Stadium management and staff as well. This role is responsible for managing and programming the scoreboard at Icahn Stadium during gamedays and supporting broadcast operations. The Assistant will also help with park-wide marketing projects and communications initiatives across Randall’s Island Park, as needed.

Responsibilities/Duties

Operate scoreboard at Icahn Stadium for events, including but not limited to track meets, soccer trainings and matches, and all other events and instances that a scoreboard will be utilized.

Create graphics and use existing graphics in Daktronics Content Studio platform for scoreboard use.

Work with the Icahn Stadium staff to ensure proper timing of using scoreboard images and graphics during track events, especially events that have time sensitive needs.

Help create public address reads for sponsors and partners and deliver them properly to public address announcer for the relevant events.

Ensure corporate sponsors’ creative is properly placed on the scoreboard and timed with relevant public announcer sponsorship reads.

Use TriCaster (when applicable) for in-stadium videos to be shared on the scoreboard.

Lead broadcast operations of track and field events via the platforms used at Icahn Stadium.

Lead all Icahn Stadium website needs such as posting results and live results link, while also sharing live results link on our Instagram.

Help to create social media strategies, digital campaigns and short videos (e.g. reels).

Draft articles for e-newsletter and general communications publications.

Assist with communications coverage throughout the park including but not limited to programming events, passive usage, etc., as assigned.

Work on all miscellaneous communications projects, as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

Experience using Daktronics Content Studio to create and post scoreboard graphics and images

Familiarity with broadcasting platforms such as Blueframe and Spiideo

Understanding of track and field event schedule and familiarity with soccer

Strong understanding of social media and marketing communications

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

Ability to communicate and work well with colleagues and stakeholders

Excellent character, integrity, and adaptability

Self-motivated, punctual, ability to multi-task and be organized

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Ability to work a flexible schedule, especially weekends, and evenings, as needed

PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, with a concentration in Communications or Marketing

Two years of experience working in communications or broadcast operations

Ability to create and edit videos and photos (e.g. Premier rush, Premier pro, iMovie)

Experience using TriCaster and other broadcast platforms (Blueframe, Spiideo)

An interest in track and field and soccer events
