Revenue Cycle Medical Billing Shared Services Cash Posting Representative

Hourly Pay:
$17.50 (this position is bonus eligible)

JOB SUMMARY The Cash Posting Representative works within the Posting and Processing Team to ensure the accurate posting of all funds received into the appropriate account and balancing the daily registers.
HOURS/WORK SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday – full time in office approximately 8 hours a day currently scheduled from 7:45am to 3:45pm with some opportunity for overtime on a business need basis, including an occasional mandatory Saturday
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES
Posting received funds from multiple insurance payment sources accurately to appropriate accounts.
Posting payment denials received along with the appropriate denial code.
Balancing of funds daily, received between billing system and bank account.
Replying to inquiries for clarification of postings and/or requests for amendments to postings.
Ensuring daily / weekly / monthly checks and balances are completed and accurate.
QUALIFICATIONS Required Experience:
6 months’ cash posting and/or register balancing experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
Proficient in complex/detail-critical data entry and 10-key
Proficient in basic computer commands such as Copy, Cut, Paste, Select All
Preferred Experience:
EOB reading literacy
Familiarity with health insurance types and payments
Familiarity with recoupments
Experience with Respond Billing / Sweet
Proficient in keyboard hot keys (e.g. Ctrl + C to Copy)
Preferred Education:
High school diploma
GED
Or significant, relevant work experience
