Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg Observation - Days - Sign On Bonus Available
Responsibilities
Act as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice.
Effectively delegates, directs and assists licensed and ancillary team members; assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes.
Maintain involvement in activities aimed toward achieving unit and department strategic goals and objectives; demonstrate professional responsibility and accountability for practice.
Use the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for patients, families, and other groups or disciplines.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources (human and fiscal) and serve as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
Use data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change to achieve optimal outcomes.
Promote customer satisfaction and contribute to staff morale and growth in the nursing profession.
Adapt care approach to the specific patient population, respecting privacy and communicating procedures appropriately.
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education: Required – Registered nurse diploma; Preferred – Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Licensure/ Certifications: Required – Current RN license in the state of practice; Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): Proficiency in using computers and software; strong verbal and written communication; interpersonal skills; organizational and time management; good judgment.

Physical and Environmental Demands
Physical requirements: Capable of performing heavy work as needed; exposure to blood, body fluids, and potentially hazardous materials.
Work environment: Healthcare setting with exposure risks; comply with safety and compliance standards.
