Key Responsibilities
Fluid Services : Draining old oil and refilling with new, checking/topping off transmission, brake, power steering, and coolant fluids.
Filter & Wiper Replacement : Changing oil, air, cabin, and fuel filters, plus replacing wiper blades.
Tire Services : Rotating tires, checking pressure, inspecting tread, and sometimes patching.
Vehicle Inspections : Performing multi-point inspections for leaks, worn parts (brakes, belts, hoses), and other maintenance needs.
Customer Interaction : Advising customers on recommended services and documenting all work.
Shop Maintenance : Keeping work areas clean and organized, and managing inventory.
Essential Skills & Requirements
Mechanical Aptitude : Ability to use hand tools and perform basic automotive tasks.
Safety Focus : Strict adherence to safety procedures and proper equipment use.
Customer Service : Strong communication skills to interact with customers and service advisors.
Efficiency : Ability to work quickly and manage time effectively.
Physical Stamina : Capable of lifting and working in various conditions.
Typical Work Environment Tasks range from basic oil changes to more advanced preventative maintenance as skills grow.
