Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounts payable functions, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting the month-end close process. The ideal candidate has prior accounts payable experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable Processing

Manage and maintain the accounts payable aging report, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items.

Process vendor payments, with a primary focus on preparing and printing physical checks.

Review invoices for accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with company policies.

Reconcile large vendor statements on a monthly basis and follow up on discrepancies.

Vendor Relations

Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries related to payments and account status.

Communicate payment schedules, resolve issues, and negotiate or establish payment plans with vendors as needed.

Month-End Close Support

Assist with the financial month-end close by reconciling assigned sections of the operating bank account, including clearing accounts payable–related electronic payments.

Prepare and record accruals for outstanding invoices and expenses.

Required Qualifications

Prior accounts payable experience
