Neuromodulation Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non‑opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.

The Opportunity We will welcome you as a member of the regional sales team. As the Territory Manager I, you will develop and execute sales plans to exceed revenue and market penetration goals while ensuring alignment and collaboration across the team and with sales leadership. You will work in a highly matrixed, geographically diverse environment under general direction with clinical and sales teammates to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities by building competency, comfort and expertise with Abbott therapies among physicians, support staff and customers. You will exercise sound judgment and strive to improve territory efficiency.

What You’ll Work On

Identify strategies to increase referrals of Abbott therapies and overcome barriers that restrict national growth and adoption of the therapies.

Integrate into accounts, build trust and establish strong rapport with new and existing customers, key opinion leaders (KOLs) and industry leaders.

Generate additional sales revenue in your assigned region by running initiatives targeted at increasing referrals of eligible patients.

Exercise significant latitude in determining the technical objective of work assignments.

Train new Territory Managers.

Collect and study information about new and existing products and monitor competitor sales, prices and products.

Ensure prompt follow‑up of sales leads, investigate complaints and complete standard reports.

Foster high‑trust relationships with colleagues including the regional teams and area leadership.

Conduct evaluations and develop sales strategies for capital equipment opportunities within accounts.

Coordinate implanting schedules of aligned Territory Managers and Clinical Specialists.

Interface and interact with patients up to 50% of the time.

Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by effectively managing consigned inventory used in the territory.

Analyze sales statistics, prepare reports and perform required administrative sales duties such as filing expense account reports, scheduling appointments and making travel plans.

Exercise authority to make sales commitments for assigned efforts and be accountable for results.

Attend trade shows where new products and technologies are showcased; meet other sales representatives and clients to discuss new product developments.

Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures and task assignments.

Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors and vendors.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities on occasion, as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or four years of relevant work experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.

5+ years of successful sales experience, with strong preference within the medical device industry.

Well organized, capable of juggling multiple projects and accustomed to tight deadlines.

Excellent personal computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast‑paced, changing environment.

Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.

Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in a timely manner.

Strong organizational and follow‑up skills, as well as attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills.

Experience with direct quota attainment and performance metrics.

Schedule flexibility for case coverage and client meetings after hours and on weekends.

Ability to travel a minimum of 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross‑division business unit model preferred.

The base pay for this position is $43,900.00 – $109,200.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
