PARLA Parlais a spot to celebrate NY-style pizza and Italian-inspired cocktails from the team behind The Smith. Opening this fall on the Upper West Side, Parlais an all-day destination for lunch and dinner, with plans to serve baked goods at breakfast. The square and round pizzas are the anchors of the menu, along with house-made pastas, veggies, and shareable plates created by Executive Chef Brian Ellis. The bar specializes in espresso, wine, and cocktails using a curated selection of amari and vermouth.
We are looking to build a team of talented and passionate hospitality professionals to help us launch Parla. This is a unique opportunity to become a part of and contribute to the opening of a brand-new concept!
The Position: Front of House Manager Managers will help drive restaurant operations. Managers must be committed to supporting an inclusive, innovative, and collaborative culture.
Responsibilities
Maintain a culture of genuine hospitality for all team members and guests.
Ensure the dining room is always clean and well‑stocked and ensure that team members have all the tools they need for a successful shift.
Maintain effective and timely communication with the kitchen operations team during service periods.
Support all service staff and actively participate in service.
Ensure that every meal and moment exceed expectations throughout the entire dining experience.
Comply with HR practices and policies hold employees accountable for all standards and procedures.
Maintain compliance with DOL/Health Department regulations and uphold company food safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements to ensure our employees' and guests' health and safety.
Provides feedback and guidance focusing on support and hospitality, ensuring all team members have the tools to succeed.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications

Must have 2 years + experience in a fast‑paced NYC restaurant as a manager
Must be knowledgeable and interested in the restaurant industry
Perform all other duties as assigned

The base pay range for this position is a salary range of $70,000-$80,000 per year. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on several factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications, and skills, etc.
