Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Responsible for promoting improvement in BJC’s compliance and performance in quality reporting programs by monitoring the national quality landscape and assessing opportunities for improving the quality of care in domains that impact BJC’s quality scores. Directs enterprise quality data collection and reporting (including electronic clinical quality measure, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid/The Joint Commission programs, National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP), and other registries) and reports to BJC leadership system performance in quality metrics. Works with CCE and HSO leadership- to assess and prioritize improvement opportunities with regard to CMS and commercial payor quality-based reimbursement programs and other registries. Coordinates with and directs CCE and HSO resources to develop system initiatives to improve clinical quality. Participates in national programs and anticipates changes in national quality-based reimbursement and reporting programs. Tracks and communicates quality regulatory changes to BJC leadership.
Responsibilities
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
Collaborates with CCE groups and HSOs to develop and implement projects to improve clinical quality issues that are reflected in quality‑based reimbursement and both mandatory and voluntary quality reporting programs.
Drives the daily operations of the regulatory (e.g. CMS and TJC) and other (e.g. Get With the Guidelines (GWTG), NSQIP, and pre‑bill) clinical quality data collection for enterprise surveillance. Oversees and assesses enterprise performance measurement reporting systems.
Coordinates with Shared Services and HSO stakeholders to ensure appropriate measurement and reporting for CMS digital quality measures and Promoting Interoperability programs.
Tracks regulatory changes and trends in the national clinical quality measurement landscape, and keeps CCE and BJC leadership abreast of these matters. Reports to CCE and BJC leadership on the current and projected status of BJC HSOs with regard to quality‑based reimbursement programs.
