Make an Impact as an Infant/Toddler Resource Teacher. This position plans and implements programs for children and provides a learning environment that is safe, comfortable, and healthy to enhance growth and development. The Teacher is responsible for maintaining all program standards to include CCG, NAEYC, Head Start and the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. Additionally, this role serves as a substitute Teacher for the center and works under general supervision of the Center Manager with some demand for independent judgment and action. Assist in planning, preparation and implementation of work with children appropriate to development level based on RC 3; includes developing curriculum, completing child assessments, maintaining records. Become familiar with routine of each classroom in which he/she may work. Assume responsibility for daily classroom program in Teacher’s absence and set up room for daily activities; provide attractive and functional learning centers. Develop good relations with children and their families; serve as a team member in assigned classroom. Acquire knowledge and proficiency of the Head Start Electronic Information System and/or Redelearner Database within the introductory period of employment. Participate in parent meetings and parent conferences. Assist in inventory of and request for equipment and supplies. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Education & Experience

Child Development Associate (CDA) or Associate’s degree in child development or related field required. One year experience working with young children preferred. Must demonstrate desire to work with infant/toddler children, have general knowledge of “normal” growth and development. Must demonstrate ability to work as a team member. Must demonstrate good organizational skills and written and oral communication skills. Must have ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, parents and center volunteers. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license. Driving record must comply with CCG’s automobile insurance carrier requirements. Must have liability insurance coverage and reliable personal transportation. Ability to travel locally or out of town as required. Mileage reimbursement is offered when applicable. Must submit to and successfully pass all required CCG and Partner Program background checks throughout employment. Physical Demands

Work requires normal physical effort with minimal lifting requirements of items weighing 25 pounds or less. Visual attention. Manual dexterity/coordination. Benefits
