The Commercial Treasury Relationship Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring, expanding, and retaining commercial members through tailored treasury management solutions. This role blends strategic relationship management with consultative sales expertise to meet the evolving financial needs of businesses. Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategic plans to achieve revenue goals, delivering customized treasury solutions aligned with member needs, providing proactive support and issue resolution across all treasury management products and services, and building long‑term relationships to enhance member satisfaction and loyalty.
Responsibilities
Maintain and build an extensive technical knowledge of Treasury Management products, services and pricing, operating systems, data transmissions, file formats, and protocols used for the delivery and support of Treasury Management products and services
Identify opportunities to broaden product feature/functionality based on market and competitive intelligence
Manage and open commercial accounts for treasury management members
Ensure all approvals, sign‑offs, and member documentation are obtained, timelines and responsibilities are communicated, and the hand‑off is smooth
Develop and maintain standard R.F.P. responses
Identify sales opportunities in conjunction with the Director of Commercial Treasury & Deposits, Executive Director of Sales, and Marketing Liaison
Provide general Treasury support and training for the Commercial Services umbrella
Research and respond to all Treasury Management client inquiries professionally and efficiently, partnering with Treasury Management Sales Officers at Tru Treasury when necessary
Provide phone support for client resolution on Treasury Management issues, training members as requested
Ensure the members' Treasury Management documentation, internal processes, and procedures are compliant with regulatory guidelines
Provide subject matter expertise to internal credit union staff as required, on Treasury Management sales
Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting the area of expertise
Attend educational events to increase professional knowledge
Complete annual compliance and info security training to understand employees' role in maintaining effective compliance and security programs
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements)
A minimum of 5 years of business deposit and Treasury Management experience
Certified Treasury Professional designation preferred
Proven ability to generate leads and build a book of business, as well as pipeline for future opportunities
Advanced knowledge of Treasury Management products and services, account analysis, and online banking systems
Proficient understanding of Public Funds and products to compete in the sales market
Ability to collaborate with the Commercial Treasury Services Specialist on referrals and closing lead documentation
Ability to prioritize tasks by effectively managing competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines
Accurate, detail‑oriented, and organized with task management
Ability to analyze and resolve difficult and often complex problems or situations
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators
Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures
Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance
Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties
