Compensation Salary (Grade F): $82,381 - $130,216
UTLO compression rate: $128,005
Responsibilities The selectedcandidates’responsibilities will include but are not limited to coordinating General Orders; removing and restoring power during emergencies; coordinating with Con Edison's District Operators for scheduled and unscheduled high-tension feeder outages. Ensures the seamless delivery of 25 cycle signalpower for portions of the signal system that still requires it on the IRT and BMT divisions. Responsibilities alsoincludethe management, tracking and implementation of the comprehensive Power Substation Maintenance program, as well as to ensure the delivery of safe and reliable third rail traction power with the primary goal to ensure that the contact rail remains energized. The selected candidate will prepare paper and electronic written reports detailing emergency, operating, maintenance or any other conditions affecting subway service for senior management review.
Education and Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent , and
five (5) years
of full-time related experience;
OR
A
satisfactory combination of education and experience
of related experience.
Note:
At least
two (2) years
of the required experience must include
managerial or supervisory responsibilities .
Desired Skills
Knowledge of Rapid Transit power systems operations and maintenance of related power equipment.
Knowledge of computer systems.
Selection Method Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
All appointments,with the exception ofthe Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
