Overview
Tyler Technologies is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer at 5101 Tennyson Pkwy, Plano, TX.
Work with integrated solutions that help courts and public safety organizations better protect and serve the public.
Responsibilities
Maintain existing applications by fixing bugs and addressing deficiencies in current and upcoming releases.
Work through all phases of the software development life cycle: research, design, analysis, requirements, implementation, test automation, and maintenance.
Utilize new technologies and tools to modify products and provide integration with internal and external applications.
Prepare and modify program and system documentation; assure program, module, and system integrity through thorough testing and adherence to company standards.
Analyze, design, write, and test code; document and implement functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated application systems.
Participate in new application development and existing system enhancements by coding system features according to system designs.
Guide less experienced team members to ensure knowledge transfer and training meet department goals.
Take responsibility for the application's security profile, monitor code scanning tools, identify vulnerabilities, and report findings to the team.
Interview and evaluate candidates and interns to build a strong team.
Actively recognize technical debt to maintain code quality and sustainability.
Maintain comprehensive understanding of all domain areas under the team's custodial ownership.
Work remotely within the same MSA as worksite up to 3 days per week; must be in the office at least 2 days per week.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent).
5 years of experience in Software Development/Engineering.
5 years of experience with Java, MySQL, Spring, DHTML, JavaScript, and XML/XSD/XSLT.
Background check clearance required at time of offer and during employment.
Location Plano, Texas
