Teach a variety of art techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art. Create lesson plans that incorporate art history, theory, and contemporary practices. Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student creativity, collaboration, and self-expression. Assess and evaluate student progress through projects, presentations, and portfolios, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Maintain an organized and well-equipped art space, ensuring safety and proper use of materials. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and administration regarding student progress and classroom activities. Stay current with trends in art education and participate in professional development opportunities. Requirements
Valid teaching certification or license in Art Education for the state. Proven experience teaching art at the high school level preferred. Strong knowledge of various art techniques, mediums, and art history. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in using technology and digital tools for art instruction. Passion for fostering creativity and a deep appreciation for the arts.
