Senior Plant Automation Engineer

Job Description Main Responsibilities, Requirements, and Competencies:
Performs preventative maintenance tasks on Injection Molding Machines on timed basis at various locations
Develops maintenance preventive surveys, evaluating or recommending actions to minimize production downtime
Coordinates the setting up and adjustment of new (industrial) equipment. Provides on the job training, coaching and deals with setting up, calibration, testing and repair activities.

Preparesreports and keeps records.
May also cover ongoing facilities management (e.g. establishment of maintenance standards, maintenance of building services in compliance with statutory regulations such as Health & Safety)
Works closely with the maintenance team in the troubleshooting and upkeep of the plant equipment.
Provides training for the maintenance technicianson the operation and diagnostics of plant floor equipment as needed.
Participate in Preventative and Corrective Maintenance Programs to improve MU.
Recommends and initiates modifications or replacement of plant equipment that fails to meet operational standards.
Good computer skills able to work with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Works with Maintenance Dept. and Process Engineers for all repair and maintenance of automation equipment.
Maintains documentation closely following necessary timelines on specific projects.
Develop,maintain and improve automation control systems integral to injection molding and assembly equipment.
Travel Required – 75%

Required Education Level Area of Study: Bachelor Degree in Electrical or industry software Engineering. *Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
Required Qualifications (ExperienceLevel, Skills, Knowledge)
Minimum 5 Years of Experience within the manufacturing industry
Experience in performing preventative maintenance on injection moldingmachines
Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)
Experience in the design and commissioning of customized or non-standard electrical automation equipment.
Eplan -Good skill to read the electrical diagram, familiar with the performance of low-voltage control components, such as PLC module, inverter, circuit breaker, relay, soft starter, motor starter and protector.
PLC/Drive -Familiar with Siemens and Rockwell system etc. on the PLC programming, HMI design & programming. Very familiar with VFD, Servo driverand Pneumatic control system.
With adequate and independent DESIGN experience of Automation projects, as well as installation, programming and debugging, very familiar to diagnose, analysisand resolve.
Robot- Industry robot programming and commissioning experience, such as ABB,FANUC, KUKA.
Physical Ability Requirements Stationary Position (Sitting or Standing): Occasionally Movement (Walking): Constantly Carry Weight (Lifting up to XX lbs): Occasionally Communication (Seeing/Talking/Hearing): Constantly Use Hands/Fingers (Operate computer, printer, phone): Constantly Language Required and Preferred Required: English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking)
