VP – Technical Accounting Manager If you are a seasoned banking accounting and finance professional and are looking for an outstanding opportunity in the Missouri Market, we may have the perfect opportunity for you. Our firm specializes in placing accounting and finance professionals in banks all over the country. This specific client is looking for a Technical Accounting Manager. Our client is a growing bank with a complex balance sheet and a long history in their market. Our firm has a solid relationship with them as we have worked with them before. We have a great feel for their culture and believe they are an employer of choice in their marketplace. This position is not a replacement. Due to continued growth, it is a newly created position that will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer and handle the research and application of US GAAP and new FASB’s that are handed down and how they impact the bank. Additionally, you will handle any technical accounting implications of SEC filings and also be responsible for performing pro forma and ad hoc reporting on future and past acquisitions. Responsibilities
Research and apply US GAAP and new FASB standards as issued and assess their impact on the bank. Manage technical accounting implications of SEC filings. Perform pro forma and ad hoc reporting on future and past acquisitions. Collaborate with external auditors and internal teams to establish sound accounting practices. Qualifications
Public accounting experience with banks that were SEC Registrants as the primary focus. CPA accreditation is required. Ability to collaborate with high performing teams. Banking experience is a must. Experience in policy roles such as SEC Reporting Manager, Assistant Controller, Controller at a bank is relevant for consideration. Strong research, analysis, and communication skills suitable for engaging with external auditors and cross-functional teams. We look forward to hearing from you.
