Reporting to the AVP of Advisory Revenue, the Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing accounting activities related to advisory revenue, regulatory reporting, and associated expenses. This role serves as a subject matter expert in revenue recognition and regulatory accounting, leads a team of accounting professionals, and drives continuous process and system improvements. Key Responsibilities
Manage the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, and variance reporting. Act as a subject matter expert for advisory revenue, regulatory accounting requirements, and related system impacts. Support accounting integration for acquisitions, new product launches, and system enhancements. Lead, mentor, and develop Associates, Staff, and Senior Accountants. Collaborate with leadership on consolidations, financial analysis, and external audit support. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred. Strong understanding of internal controls and audit processes. Series 99 (or qualifying securities license) required within 120 days of hire. Prior experience in financial services and/or broker-dealer environments strongly preferred. Experience with Oracle Financials and advanced Excel skills are a plus.
