Overview Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Backend Java Developer to join their team. As a Backend Java Developer, you will be part of the Wealth and Investment Management Technology (WIMT) group supporting the Portfolio Management Platform (PMP) area. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, proactive communication, and a passion for innovative technology, which will align well with the organization's needs.

What’s the Job?

Contribute to software engineering initiatives supporting portfolio management capabilities across advisory platforms.

Collaborate strategically with team members to meet project delivery goals and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java and related technologies.

Leverage AI tools like Microsoft Copilot and GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity and innovation.

Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality software delivery.

What’s Needed?

5+ years of Software Engineering experience, with a focus on backend development using Java.

Experience with building JSON REST APIs using Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.

Proficiency in database technologies such as MongoDB and familiarity with full-stack development.

Knowledge of automated testing tools like JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, or Playwright.

Strong understanding of cloud technologies, version control systems like GitHub, and automation practices.
