The shift for this role is Monday – Friday between the hours of ~9:00 AM to ~9:00 PM. Our **Cooks** are responsible for food production and preparation, and oversee the back-of-house activity, including assisting in management of kitchen operations. You’ll work with an incredible staff dedicated to ensuring a high quality of culinary excellence for our community.**The responsibilities of our Cook:*** Ensure compliance with Resident dietary restrictions.* Conduct regular Quality Assurance Audits.* Maintaining Kitchen food safety and sanitary food handling practices and ensure compliance with King County and DSHS regulations.* Maintaining professional relationships with food and equipment venders.* Hiring, orientation, training, and evaluation of kitchen staff.* Supervise and assign duties to production and utility personnel* Create a motivating environment that encourages employee involvement, creativity, and problem solving.* Assume the responsibilities of the Executive Chef in his absence.* Other duties as assigned**What you need to succeed:*** 1-2 years of experience as a Cook/Chef, preferably in a senior living community.* Ability to prepare high quality food for our residents,* Able to work Holidays and pre-planned events.* Maintain professional relationships with food and equipment venders.* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with staff and external constituents.* Able to prepare therapeutic/modified diets.* Successful completion of recognized food safety course.**Physical Requirements Include:*** On occasion, you may need to push, pull, lift to 50lbs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
