Position Overview
As a Quality Engineer, you will report directly to the Quality Manager and administer the Project Quality Plan. In this role, you will assume responsibility for assuring that the quality program is implemented throughout the project, coordinating the Project Quality Plan activities associated with engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and operations for the U.S. Navy Spent Fuel Handling Project. Idaho Falls, ID (Scoville, ID). This position is located on an active DOE construction site and is not remote. Responsibilities
Maintain a high level of understanding of company standards and guidelines. Provide updates to employees on client critique results. Initiate, implement, and close Corrective Action Reports. Facilitate Root/Apparent Cause Analysis. Plan and perform quality assessments. Maintain a solid knowledge base of District Quality Manuals and project requirements. Identify potential quality incidents before they arise. Participate in all project activities and provide input/feedback regarding quality assurance. Help plan and participate in internal quality audits/surveillance, conduct reviews of required documents, interview staff, and administer online audit questions to assess compliance with documented procedures. Provide administrative support for audits, other Quality Department programs and initiatives, and Monthly Operations Reviews. Facilitate quality presentations and disseminate quality information at department discipline meetings and other venues. Mentor Project Staff and promote a culture of Quality. Draft and maintain Project Quality documents for the project, including the required quality activities and associated metrics. Collect and sort quality data and perform statistical analysis to enable proactive solutions. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline. 2 years of quality or related experience required. 1‑year nuclear experience required. Working knowledge of implementation of Commercial Grade Dedication for materials, equipment, and services. Knowledge of industry standards such as NQA‑1, ISO‑9001, Six Sigma, and/or US NRC Reg Guides preferred. Proficient in problem‑solving and causal analysis techniques. Working knowledge of quality control procedures related to construction activities preferred. Ability to access all points of a construction site in a wide‑range climates and environments. Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and initiative. Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time. Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity. Passion for safety, with the ability to help ensure no one gets hurt. Team player able to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives. Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail. Other Requirements

Perform work safely and effectively, following oral and written instructions, warning signs, and equipment use policies.
