The Assembly Leader fosters a strong safety culture, drives operational excellence, and promotes continuous improvement across all assembly activities.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities****Safety*** Lead site safety initiatives and ensure compliance to promote a strong safety culture.* Demonstrate responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others by maintaining a clean, orderly, and hazard-free work environment.* Ensure compliance with all safety practices, regulations, and product design safety requirements.* Actively promote safety in a positive manner by proactively identifying, addressing, and resolving safety concerns.* Report safety concerns or violations to the direct leader and/or People Leader.* Participate in safety processes and lead continuous safety improvement initiatives.* Act as Co-Leader of the Safety Committee, ensuring all company safety policies and procedures are strictly followed.**Culture Alignment*** Conduct all activities in a fair, moral, ethical, and legal manner at all times.* Consistently demonstrate teamwork, collaboration, and respect.* Display enthusiasm and confidence in the work environment.* Demonstrate a willingness to learn, accept new responsibilities, and implement new processes when provided appropriate instruction.**Daily Operations*** Create and maintain a positive team atmosphere across all product lines that promotes safety, teamwork, performance, and efficiency.* Develop, implement, and continuously improve processes and procedures to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost.* Establish standard work, clear accountabilities, and work plans for all production roles.* Plan, organize, and direct manufacturing operations to ensure optimal utilization of resources.* Collaborate with Manufacturing Level IV Leaders to allocate resources to meet customer expectations and production schedules.* Manage production schedules to ensure resources are deployed effectively, using skill set and experience as key indicators.* Provide and maintain a clear visual schedule for all assemblers.* Maintain and continuously improve target build hours and productivity metrics.* Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure machined parts are scheduled, produced, and delivered on time.* Participate in Mission Control Room meetings and communicate critical production updates.* Attend Order Entry meetings and assign assemblers to project teams.* Understand assembly processes to establish and maintain build priorities.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align overall scheduling based on resource availability.* Encourage and facilitate Lean manufacturing objectives and continuous improvement initiatives across production departments.* Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production area that is always “tour ready.”* Partner with the People Team to support leadership activities including goal setting, recruiting, talent development, and performance coaching.**Education and Experience Requirements*** Bachelor’s degree, professional qualification, or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.* Minimum of **5 + years of leadership experience** in a manufacturing or assembly environment.* Prior experience with **Lean Manufacturing** principles and tools preferred.* Experience in the **packaging industry** is a plus.### *The approximate pay range for this position is $90K -$120K (DOE). Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
