We are looking for a Paint & Coatings Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities will include collaborating with a team to scope, develop, test, and integrate innovative paints/coatings research/development/specification projects aimed at advancing aerospace products and production methods. Key Responsibilities

Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies

Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines

Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build

Leads and implements manufacturing plans

Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements

Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices

Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions

Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule

Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts

Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies

Conduct analysis and qualification of materials, processes and equipment by conducting laboratory tests and documenting findings in accordance with specifications and customer requirements

Develop and revise documents, technical requirements, and test methods

Execute continuous improvement efforts by completing the design, fabrication, and testing of new concepts and technology

Innovate to solve engineering or production challenges in the area of paints/coatings/polymer science/ sealants/ corrosion

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors Degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

(Level 3)

5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors Degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.

Experience supporting stabilization and improvement efforts in a manufacturing setting

Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers

Experience with 3D model based instruction

Experience in Materials and Processing Engineering

Experience with polymer sciences, resin systems, and/or coating development
