R25095642**Summary****Job Description:****RN - Emergency Department - Full Time, Days****Relief Charge Nurse****Weekly Hours: 36****Shift: 1st****Status: Full Time****Job Summary:**Registered nurse implements the nursing process for each patient regardless of age (i.e. infancy to geriatric) assigned to his/her care and is responsible for the patient’s care within the parameters of the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act.
The registered nurse promotes positive patient outcomes; quality of care and initiates change through active involvement in unit-based and hospital shared-
governance councils. National Professional Nursing Standards serve as guidelines for the registered nurse as he/she utilizes critical thinking skills and exercises appropriate nursing judgment.
The registered nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.
Also, the registered nurse will serve as a role model by actively participating in the process of continuous professional development, teaching and learning across the healthcare continuum.**Principal Duties and Responsibilities:**The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job.
He or she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time.1.Assessment2.Develops a plan of care3.Provides care according to policy and procedure4.Evaluates patient response to interventions5.Organizational skills6.Leadership skills and critical thinking****Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required****1. Active Kentucky License2. BCLS Required3. ACLS Required4. PALS Required5. NIHSS Required6.
