Job Summary:
Seeking a Psychiatry Associate Program Director to assist with a 31-resident program in Nashville, TN.
Qualified Candidates:
Board Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Tennessee licensure or ability to obtain DEA with full prescriptive authority Experience in research desired but not required Commitment to providing high quality, evidenced based patient care Previous participation as an active faculty member in an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program or graduate medical education administrative experience is highly desired
Responsibilities:
Practice and teach full-spectrum adult psychiatry 100% outpatient Provide clinical supervision of residents Experience in research desired but not required Commitment to providing high quality, evidenced based patient care Provide clinical supervision of residents Serve as an advisor and role model Teach didactics and lead curriculum development Commitment to teach psychiatric residents and shape the future of psychiatry 10 hrs. per week dedicated to the APD role 30 hrs. per week dedicated to outpatient clinical work

The present capacity of 132 beds offers specialized treatment programs for distinct patient populations. Parthenon services for adults and older adults include: Adult Treatment Program; Dual Treatment Program; Senior Treatment Program; and Memory Care Program. Staff Addictionologist TJC certified in both dementia care, one of only two in the country, and Violence reduction, the only one in the country. ECT Training Program Part of a 741 bed tertiary medical center.
