Washington, D.C. Job Overview: A prestigious law firm in Washington, D.C. is looking for a talented and experienced Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly skilled group of professionals in a litigation-heavy environment, primarily representing employers in class actions and other complex employment matters. The role also includes a range of advisory and investigative tasks, providing a diverse workload for an ambitious attorney. Duties: Represent clients in labor and employment-related litigation, including class and representative actions. Handle wage and hour disputes, discrimination cases, and other employment-related legal matters. Provide counsel to clients on employment policies, best practices, and regulatory compliance. Conduct investigations into workplace issues, including allegations of discrimination or harassment. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and solutions. Maintain strong relationships with clients while delivering high-quality legal service. Requirements: 4-8 years of relevant experience in labor and employment law, specifically employer-side litigation. Experience handling class action lawsuits, including wage and hour and discrimination matters. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Proven track record of success in a peer law firm setting. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Active Bar membership in good standing (preferably in D.C. or eligibility to waive in). Skills: Excellent written and oral communication abilities. Strong negotiation and client management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. High attention to detail and organizational skills.
