Heavy Equipment Operator Job at The H&K Group in Pottstown

H&K Group, Inc., a leading provider of construction materials and services, seeks an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in supporting our operations by handling machinery that moves heavy materials and assists in the construction of infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will operate a variety of equipment including bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, and loaders to contribute to the efficiency and safety of our projects. Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures. Conduct equipment inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure proper functioning. Handle installations and supporting functions for building roads, bridges, and other structures. Assist in the preparation of job sites, including setting up and removing construction materials and equipment. Coordinate with other team members to ensure efficient processes and on-time project completion. Adhere to all safety guidelines and report safety concerns and hazards to management. Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and maintenance. Proven ability to operate heavy machinery, such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. Understanding of construction site safety, operations, and equipment maintenance. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Medical Insurance 401k Valid Driver’s License. OSHA Safety certificate or equivalent (preferred). Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – depending on equipment type operated.
