Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for neonatal care? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Neonatology Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional care in a Level 3 NICU setting. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic inpatient environment, supporting critically ill neonates and their families, while enjoying flexible scheduling and competitive pay.
What You Will Do:
As a Neonatology Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing advanced neonatal care, including intubation, central line placement, peripheral arterial lines, and attending high-risk deliveries. You will also perform both ground and air transports (fixed wing) to ensure vulnerable neonates receive timely and specialized interventions. The role involves night shift coverage, primarily Friday through Monday shifts from 3 p.m. to 7 a.m., starting August 12, 2025, with ongoing dates available.
Required Skills:
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current Neonatology certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of neonatal ICU experience
  • Proficiency in advanced airway management, vascular access, and high-risk deliveries
  • Ability to perform and support ground and air neonatal transports
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Knowledge of EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous experience with both ground and fixed-wing transport operations
  • Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Experience with multidisciplinary team coordination
  • Bilingual abilities

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master s degree or higher in Nursing or related field
  • Prior experience in a Level 3 NICU environment
  • At least 3 years of relevant neonatal practice

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to perform ground and air transports
  • Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends
  • Ability to travel and stay in lodging accommodations as needed
  • Current CPR and NRP certifications

Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $87.10
Orientation Rate: $85 per hour (after 8 hours), including support staff
Holiday Rate: $255 per hour (1.5x hourly rate)
Shift Schedule: 16-hour nights, 3 p.m. to 7 a.m., predominantly Friday through Monday shifts
Start Date: August 12, 2025, with ongoing opportunities
