Attributes of an Ideal Candidate
A solid foundation in software and storage design and implementation, with particular focus in cloud services.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, and passion for data-driven, iterative improvement to code and process.
Fast learner, capable of working in a fast-paced ambiguous environment with focus on delivery.
Development and/or operational experience with cloud infrastructure technologies such as AWS
Experience in applying AI to practical solutions – data modeling, applications of models, data analytics.
Experience with datacenter technologies including compute, storage, network, and application lifecycle management.
Experience with live-site management, feature delivery, and retirement of technical debt of an always-on service.
Job Responsibilities
Design, implement and maintain the automated cloud infrastructure on which the Salesforce service runs.
Resolve complex technical issues that cut across multiple subsystems.
Guide junior team members across the organization.
Create, maintain and share technical documentation used by engineers and other team members.
Requirements
5+ years of industry experience in software development, design and testing.
Design and implementation experience of large projects with multiple teams.
Development experience with Go, Java or Python.
Development experience in a Linux/UNIX environment.
Deep understanding of algorithms and data structures.
Bachelor's degree in CS or any engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
Excellent English-language written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation The typical base salary range for this position is $148,500 - $223,900 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $178,900 - $246,000 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
