The candidate assures quality products for our customer through the resolution of drivetrain warranty concerns by utilizing engineering theory and principles to identify the root cause of market problems with transmissions, transfers, rear differentials and related component parts. Key Accountabilities
Perform all steps necessary to conduct root cause analysis of failed drivetrain warranty components including but not limited to component installation, removal, disassembly, reassembly, instrumentation, testing, CAN/NVH data collection, CAN/NVH data analysis, component measurements and interpret engineering drawings Compile detailed technical analysis reports summarizing disassembly observations, component measurements, test results, CAN/NVH data analysis, past problem history,
manufacturing/vehicle
history and failure cause Comprehend and investigate manufacturing processes to identify potential failure causes Collaborate with other departments to determine problem cause and resolution Identify and implement internal MQ Unit improvement projects Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Associate’s degree with
interest/experience
in automotive drivetrain technology (Considered). Minimum Experience 0-6 years of experience based on education Other Job-Specific Skills- Strong desire to be hands-on Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills Working knowledge of automotive electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems and components and data acquisition software. Ability to quickly and accurately compile detailed technical analysis reports
Effective communication and interpersonal skills Efficient typing skills Working knowledge of standard Windows applications including Microsoft Office (powerpoint, excel, word) Easily adapt to new data acquisition software Working Conditions
Hands on Able to travel (international and domestic) Flexibility to work OT as needed Ability to lift 40-lbs and work above your head All tools and equipment provided by HDMA What differentiates Honda and make us an employer of choice?
